This amends the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia as it relates to state law enforcement officers who are eligible to receive service credit for service to a local government. The bill clarifies that such prior service must have been to a local government within Georgia, and the employee cannot be eligible for current or future benefits under any retirement plan of that local government.
